I'm Beginning to Feel like Lando Calrissian!

"We had a deal!"
"I am altering the deal. Pray I do not alter it further..."

Progressives thought they had a deal with President Obama.  Close Guantanamo, really fix healthcare for all Americans, get us out of unnecessary wars, don't start new wars and end the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.  But it turns out the deal has been altered.  Repeatedly.  Now we find that you ignored your own advisors in going into Libya.  Shame on you, Mr. Obama.  We didn't vote for more Bush.
Jeh C. Johnson, the Pentagon general counsel, and Caroline D. Krass, the acting head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, had told the White House that they believed that the United States military’s activities in the NATO-led air war amounted to “hostilities.” Under the War Powers Resolution, that would have required Mr. Obama to terminate or scale back the mission after May 20.

But Mr. Obama decided instead to adopt the legal analysis of several other senior members of his legal team — including the White House counsel, Robert Bauer, and the State Department legal adviser, Harold H. Koh — who argued that the United States military’s activities fell short of “hostilities.” Under that view, Mr. Obama needed no permission from Congress to continue the mission unchanged.
Mr. Obama, if we'd wanted 4 more years of Bush foreign policy with all the attendant legal hairsplitting, we'd have elected President Palin.  But we didn't.  We voted for CHANGE.  Where's the change, Mr. Obama? Where's the change?

If we need four more years of a Republican administration to finally purge the Democrats of the DINOs in our midst (like Mr. Obama), then we shall suffer that indignity to ensure a Progressive future for America.
